Smoking a bone in turkey breast for Christmas lunch tomorrow

Postby slickyboyboo » Tue Dec 24, 2013 1:07 pm

I am smoking a 6.5 lb bone in breast for Christmas. I've never done one of these, so I'm looking for some insight. I took a tip I read on here once, and injected the breast with maple syrup, and vacuum sealed it yesterday. I'm planning on using a rub that I put together a while back. My question is what temp I should cook the breast at? I've heard 225-240, as well as 325. Planning on pulling it off the smoker, I guess, at a 150-155 internal temp, and letting it rest.

Thanks in advance for the help, and Merry Christmas to everyone!
