This is a special Cook-off for Bar “G” not only was the late Barnie McBee a good friend, he also introduced me to the sport competition cooking. Barnie was instrumental in organizing the first cook-off in Comanche some 28 years ago. Cook-off is held at the beautiful tree shaded Comanche City Park in conjunction with the Comanche County Pow-Wow. There are plenty of activities for the entire family (antique car & tractor show, live music, Indian dancers, old west town & shootouts, arts/crafts, food venders, ECT). Hook up the smoker, load up the family, and plan on spending a fun filled week-end in Comanche, Texas.
OH; did I mention State Championship (American Royal Qualifier & Jack Draw Qualifier)

How many teams are they expecting? Do ya know if there are RV hookups on site?

They had 45 teams last year, do think they have RV hookups. Checked LSBS and they show water, electric and sewer.

We are considering it since we (No Clue BBQ) can not do the event in Keller due to a schedule conflict... It's either this comp or the NHRA drags om Ennis that weekend with the family.
