Wowser, did we have a great time! Great location, awesome weather and lots of friendly cookers!!! Gotta thank Donnie, aka Bar "G" BBQ and all of the other cooks, for taking time to share some ideas, tips and other badly needed advice to a couple of rookies!

Will definitely do this one again next year! Now we've got to decide which to contest is next as we continue our contest cooking education... I'll try to post some photos this evening.

Best piece of advice received the entire weekend? "Get plenty of rest on Friday..."

After a drive home this morning at the same time recovering from some bad head syndrome( may be lack of sleep, but Crown may have been a contributing factor also), and then a well needed shower and nap, I am back alive and kicking. The fellowship and hospitality shown to us rookies was outstanding and a big thanks to all that had some input to give us.Big thanks to Donnie Glattner, Steven Glattner, Eric (Mechnech) and son, Dale Patterson and wife, and many more that I cant remember there names. Folks if you havent had the pleasure to visit a cookoff where these folks are cooking, your missing out on some great times and friends. This is just a big family heck bent to beat your tail on the comp, but are just happy to see friends name called for recognition. Great time had by all for sure and especially the Q-Crew Team. Thanks
