Rising Star Octoberfest 10/10 & 10/11

Postby BAR "G" BBQ » Thu Oct 02, 2008 8:02 am

Held at the Rising Star city park just off HWY 36; this is a fun small town cook-off. Last years 31 cooking teams marked the largest turn out for this event to date.
LSBS Sanctioned
$50.00 Entry Plus 1 cooked brisket (Brisket, Spare Ribs, & Chicken)
100% Pay Back
$10.00 Pinto Bean Entry
Load up the family, hook up the smoker, and come enjoy a layed back country weekend. The great folks at Rising Star will make you feel welcome.

Best of luck to you at Traders brother Red Neck. Job requires I stay kind of close to home for the next couple of weeks, beside that I got a free entry at Rising Star.

This couldn't have been a better cook-off if I would have won it myself. My oldest son started competition cooking last year and claimed his first Grand Championship this past weekend at Rising Star.
Congrats to 1st Confederates Grand Champion. :D
He did at least allow old dad the reserve spot.
