Who's coming to the 27th annual Barnie McBee North Central Texas State Championship BBQ Cook-Off held in conjunction with the Comanche County Pow-Wow? This is a fun event with lots of activities for the entire family (antique car & tractor show, live music, indian dancers, old west town & shootouts, arts/crafts, food venders, ECT). Event is held at the Comanche City Park; lots of shade trees.

I hope Bar G has a lot of them FREE cold ones!!
I only have one request if Darrell Dodd shows up Friday night; please don't give him any Crown. That crack in my Tony Lama gets old about 3am; expecially after he forgets most of the lyrics and words.
See you there.

Great cookoff..best of fortunes to the contestants. That was the 2nd bbq comp we ever competed in an hit 2nd Ribs out of 47 teams. Dang couldnt get my hat on for a week. Got a big old trophy etc. Grandkids all got into pizzen ivy at the city park..and the mesquiters was big enough to carry away a full grown cow. Had a bunch of the clan in attendance who was gonna sleep outside under the stars etc. Wound up they wasn't tough enough to do it...so slept about 20 folks in Fredericka on Saturday night just to get away from the skeeters and under the AC. She aint but 20 feet long. They was piled in there like cord wood. We had a blast.

So inflate the tires on your ol' pit and compete. Age and experience will win over hope and change everytime. The Warden is on my side on this one, so don't argue.
