Just got done unloading everything from the 1st Annual Cedar Chopper BBQ Cookoff, it was a HOT son of a gun out there. We saw alot of familiar faces and met a bunch of new freinds, good to see The Breadman and Lance from Backdoor BBQ. I know Texas Smokers were out there cause they got a few calls during the awards, congrats!!!!
All in all we had a great time and are looking forward to doing this one again next year. I believe they said that they had 52 teams show up, and for a first time event thats pretty impressive. I think this one will only continue to get bigger, I feel it was pretty well run for a first time event. Thanks to all the sponser and event workers for making the event a sucess.
We made the final table in beans, brisket, and chicken, and pulled a 3rd in our cook's choice entry. Like I said we had a good time and look forward to doing it again next year. Congrats to all who got calls out there this weekend, it was hard work, but well worth it.
