Little Elm American Legion Spring Cookoff

Postby Papa Tom » Fri Apr 18, 2008 2:17 pm

Little Elm American Legion Spring Cookoff will be held May 3 & 4th at the city park in Little Elm. this is a non-sanctioned fun cook to benefit the American Legion and the families of soldiers lost in the Middle East.
I have judged and cooked in this one and it is a good time.
It should be the same format as the fall cook:
Brisket
Spares
Chili
Setup appearance (the beauty contest) they have had some pretty cool setups in the past..
$25 entry.

I can't remember where I seen it exactly but haven't some teams been placing with the high heat briskets?

Well, now... Old Myron Mixon from Jack's Old South has been cooking and placing with hot-n-fast brisket for years... Figure you could give it a go and report back...

James.
