Man, I'd like to be there just for the goat, but I'm obligated to cook PP at a chili cook-off that weekend. :(

Your going to miss a good one Jack; although the weather may be a factor this weekend. Good luck with the chili cook and hope to see you down the road.

This is shaping up to be a big event; as of yesterday afternoon the promoter had 38 teams pre-registered. A greater number have called and indicated they planned on entering upon arrival. For those that are interested; 38 teams is only 12 away from the magic number of 50 it takes to qualify for the Jack Draw Lottery.

This was a great event (54 Cooking Teams); Congrats to Smoke Um & Stroke Um "GC" and Pit Stop BBQ "RGC". A big THANK YOU goes out to Jackie Boykin "event coordinator", Goldthwaite Chamber, and the LSBS judges; great job on a well run cook-off.
