Smokin' on the Bayou- Monroe, LA

Hey guys,

I know that this may be a little too far away for some of you, but I wanted to let any of your east/central Texas cookers know about the IBCA Sanctioned Smokin' on the Bayou BBQ cookoff in Monroe, LA. This cookoff has existed as an unsanctioned Rib Cookoff for 10+ years. Now, they Monroe Jaycees(organizers) have decided to make this event a full BBQ contest(Brisket,Chicken,Ribs), and also make it a state championship cookoff. Entry fee is $150. Water and Power will be available. 5K total purse. Date is May 2-3.
