B&B Crew signed up today. First time for a KCBS cook off. Anything significantly different in the rules?

Lotta window dressing type stuff I think, lettuce vs no lettuce in the box for LSBS and ICBA, actual saucing of meats permitted, etc CowboyDon and others did this last year and can fill you in.

Biggest difference will be turn in times. 4 meats, 30 minutes apart beginning at noon. Those two hours are pretty hectic, especially at your first one, so be prepared.
Rules can be found here:
http://www.kcbs.us/pdf/2012_Rules.pdf
Folks ( Texas cookers, especially) complain about the garnish, if you don't want to add it don't. Per #12 on the rules, its optional. That being said, I'd recommend it, its not that hard, nor time consuming.
Like any cook off you may have been too, those of us that have done a few of these will be around, feel free to ask us any questions, we will be glad to help.
Good luck!

Just Arnold Palmer said after a tournament in 1973, Creating a putting green is easy, keeping it green and pretty is the hard part.

Never done garnish. That should be interesting. Baby backs are allowed, correct? And it's also advisable to put sauce on the meat when it's in the box?

Baby backs are allowed, yes. As for the sauce question, I don't do anything in the box.

Chilly Willy is a different lil' feller that's for sure.

I had one of the best times! Of course it's always better when you win, but I was proud for Woody! Going to do it all over again at Bass Pro Shops this weekend for Camp Craig Allen. Come out for a good time!
