Memorial Day 2007 Throw Down

TTBBQF is proud to announce the 2007 Memorial Day Throw Down.

Rules:
1. With the exception of the Any Thing Goes category, all food must be cooked over somekind of fire & smoke (Charcoal, Lump, L.P. Gas, Wood).
2. One entry per category per person.
3. Must be a member in goodstanding of the Texas BBQ Forum (Lurkers come forward and register!)

Turn in Times: Starting on May 25th you can start emailing your entries. The cut-off for entries is 10:00 AM on May 29th.

How to Vote: Point your browser to http://www.ncre.biz/Throwdown/MemDay200 ... Dmain.html . Once there surf the galleries and return to the Poll and cast your vote. Hint, open multiple tabs or windows depending on your browser.

Prizes Prizes are pledged by the Sponsors of the Throw Down and are not guaranteed in any way for any purpose by TTBBQF. They can be viewed at the Memorial Day Throw Down site at http://www.ncre.biz/Throwdown/MemDay200 ... Dmain.html

Judging: Polls will go up around noon on May 29th and will stay up for 24 hours. The winner of each category will compete with the other winners in a Winner-Take-All Poll that will go up around noon on May 30th and it will run for 24 hours. The winner will be Announced on May 31st.

Categories:
Ribs, (Pork, Beef, Buffallo, Yak, Goat, Lamb, you get the idea)
Big Hunks of Meat, (Brisket, Boston Butt, Bear Roast, an so on)
Things with Wings, (Turkey, Chicken, Duck, Goose, Turducken)
Anything Goes, (Any food)

Quick question, DATs.

Normally I use ImageShack to post pics. In the rules you say send pics or links to you. Do you mean the *actual* pic file? Links to the file on an outside server? Or just the ImageShack link?

Second, do you need us to resize the pics in any way? I bought a camera for the wife's b-day and the pic files it takes are 3+ megs, 3072x2304 pixels. A bit big for email.

Yes the actual jpg. 640X480 jpg is preferred. If you can't resize them I can do it. I have DSL so I'm not worried about download time. If you can post them to Imageshack, I can handle it. I don't want to pull them off a public website as it is a blind contest. Hope this helps :D
