Kind of confusing who the winner was showing it like that. I think he thought you won.

Thanks everyone. The Dragon came on strong at the end and I could feel the fire on the back of my neck.

We had 18 family members over that day and it was challenging to have that many different types of meat ready for a certain time. I have a stickburner and was up all night shoveling wood. I envy the Egg people at times but I'm old school and prefer wood.

Great entries by all and a Big thanks to the Counselor and Gator for Hosting

And (maybe)

Way to go Parts - you did better than mae  :banghead:

Seriously great job everybody and thank you TX1911.

My cook wasn't overly photogenic but it tasted good. They were bacon wrapped beer can burgers and I will post a thread with all the details.

You can see my entry in this post. I knew I was taking a chance on entering with a first time ever cook on a pellet grill. It turned out ok but much room for improvement. One thing I would like to mention. I used Sooner sauce as the binder for the rub and I highly recommend it. Even after all the time on the smoker, sauce, sugar, and juice you could still taste it. I'll never use mustard again.

Well deserved congrats to Rambo, and Honorable Mentions to Dragon (now that’s some great looking rib), Limey (the expert char on that steak is exactly what we’d expect from the longtime, multiple time TXBBQFTD champion), and to Cliff Carter for the true old skool Patriots hat (I can remember when they were stil called the Boston Patriots! Shoulda stayed that way. I mean, why bring Rhode Island and Vermont in on the deal, for example ???).
BE WELL, BUT NOT DONE
Hank: "Do you know how to jumpstart a man's heart with a downed power line?"
Bobby: "No."
Hank: "Well, there's really no wrong way to do it."
