Alright y'all! We're now officially set for a Nor-Eastern Super Bowl, but that doesn't mean the rest of us can't have some fun with it!

So, here are the rules:

1. The entries allowed are meat. Any meat. Beef, Pork, Chicken, Turkey, Cabrito, Fish, Alpaca, Camel, you get the gist.
2. The entries must be grilled over an open flame or charcoal, or smoked. George Foreman doesn't get to play on this one, and boiling gets the boot!
3. Somewhere, in the picture, must be one of the following (a) a New England Patriots logo; (b) a Philiadelphia Eagles logo; or (c) a note that says "SBTD18".
4. Entries must be emailed to tbbqfthrowdown@gmail.com no later than midnight (12:00) central time (UTC-6) on Monday, February 5.
5. Have fun with it!

If you have any questions, post them here or send an email to the above and I'll get back to you ASAP.

Lest we forget, bsooner75 forwarded his prize from the Thanksgiving throwdown to this one. What does that mean? Double prizes!

We've got a lot of new members, so I'm expecting a whole lot of entries.

Sides are allowed. However, from past results, and since anyone who checks this can see it, the winning entries tend to focus on on the meats.

So, to clarify, you can have sides included, or not. A statement will be included in the poll post (that sounds odd) that entries are to be taken as they are, and not penalized for having or not having sides.

When you send in your submission, please allow 24 hours for me to get a confirmation of receipt to you. That being said, when you send it in, I will send a confirmation as soon as I get it.

Also, since we do have quite a few new members (and hopefully new entries!), to keep the entries anonymous until after the contest, please don't post a thread on your cook until AFTER the voting is concluded.

OUP is correct. It doesn't have to be something cooked for the Super Bowl to qualify as an entry. That's just the time frame. It's easier to remember than just picking a random day.

Any thing cooked between now and then is acceptable as long as it's entered timely.

Perfect timing...I just happen to be smoking up some meat this weekend for our annual fishing derby on the river.
Now if I can stay away from the Crown Royal until the meat is done I just might be able to remember to snap a photo.
