Throwdowns?
This might be a dumb question but, what happened to the throwdowns? Did everyone get burnt out? I see there hasn't been one in a while.

Re: Throwdowns?
Not a dumb question at all. Actually been pondering it myself. We like to give at lteast notic to build up the excitement, so who's up for a throwdown? Any what theme? We are open to suggestions.

Re: Throwdowns?
Hey Dave, how about a Thanksgiving Throw Down. Turkey, ham, both. Everything cooked on the smoker or grill.

There's not enough time to do a Turkey-day TD, its less than a week away. Christmas could be game, but intruding on the sanctity of the holiday it's off limits. But there is New Years. Who's up for that?

I am for New Years, gents and the open sounds good to me. With all the college bowl games going on, maybe you call it the Barbecue Bowl, with folks cooking stuf they would wanna have at a tailgate.
Would wanna talk Egghead in on this one, the most storied program in Throwdown history.

Ah, that was a maroon letter day in the old Boots household. Johnny Football, two briskets for 24 hours, and a rack of 1855 ribs to boot. Coulda died happy right then and there. And if thE BCS thing does not work out, it might be an epic matchup in the old Cotton Bowl with our friends of the Evil Empire. Would make for much spirited and good natured discussion on the ol TxBBQF.
