Thanks - nice BDay present :D

There really were some mightyfine pics of cooks in the throwdown - wouldn't mind sampling all of them

The brisket was a combo cook of two butts over a brisket

Rubbed the butts with Hog Waller and rubbed the brisket with John Henry's Brisket rub. Butts were in the smoke about 12 hours and the brisket was in for about 14 hours at 240. Oak and pecan for smoke.

Photobucket seems to be down right now (either that are I'm temporarily photobucket challenged) - I'll post a couple extra pics if it comes back up.

Good job Egghead. I don't mind taking a 3rd considering the competition. It all looked great to me. That was my first brisket to be injected with ButcherBBQ. Everyone at the watch party raved about the flavor.

All of the entries looked excellent and as has already been stated, it was very tough to chose just one entry.
