A store is having a sale on boston roasts..98cents per lb.What's the difference between a roast & a butt?Can you use a roast for pull pork?
Would like to get a few & smoke them,while I recover from my surgery.

I have also seen butts cut up and labeled as roasts. All the same critter in your neck of the wood too? Either way, you should be able to cook them up in the same manner.
Yep, should be the same thing. Sometimes they are boneless cuts when they are called roasts but that won't matter for cooking.
