Hot Wings on a HOT Texas Day

Postby tex_toby » Thu Oct 23, 2008 10:54 am

Here are some wings I grilled back in August. I would have gotten more pics, but it was tooooo hot to stand out by the grill for any extra time than necessary. I blasted them with a couple of sticks of pecan and I turned and basted about every 15 minutes with a store-bought hot sauce (Ashanti I think is the name of it) and grilled indirectly for about 55 minutes, then finished off over direct heat for another minute or two.

My outdoor thermometer sensor is in the shade under the eave of my roof!
