Well, thanks to the lucious pics posted by JamesB, I think on Sunday (after I watch the Astros and Roy O whup up on the Yankees) we'll go with:

- burgers, complete with buns by Sheila Partain
- sausage (from Bellville Meat Market, or Kountry Boys)
- shrimp brochette (stuffed with jalapeno slice and cheese, wrapped in bacon)
- hot dogs for the kids (and possibly one for the cook!)

Cooking on my trusty Weber Kettle.

Will post pics.

Thinking about a couple of pork butts... Trying to decide whether to do them on the UDS or the WSM...

Just came from my favorite butcher. Got two thick Rib Eye steaks for tonight and a whole free range chicken which I'll do tomorrow!

I'll let you know how it went! :)

1st hot n fast brisket today. Was going to put on the UDS, but opened the lid to get ready and it had water in it  .
With an emergency at work going on, didn't have time to mess with it, so on the WSM (no pan) it went.

300-325* a 9 lber has been on 3.75 hrs and is at 180*

Be ready to cooler shortly.

Most likely chicken since the one store has leg quarter for .49 per pound and breast quarters for .59 a pound in 10 pound bags. Might just have to stock up a little. :D I want to smoke a bologna chub if I can find a nice one. :D

Happy aloha Friday y'all... :)

Well I be cookin on Saturday for a luncheon. My buddy from work dad died last week and the family wanted me to cook for the luncheon after the services. Not bbq... will be making Hawaiian style pulled pork, a chicken dish with Asian flavors with cellophane noodles and a Filipino stye beef stew (different spices and veggies). The family expect at least 250 persons but I am cooking for 300.

Sunday is supposed to be Fathers Day but my older sons "want " to see the "Kila Imu" in action. :dont: I still don't know what to bbq but I have a couple of pork butts and spare ribs.

All you guys in BBQ land... Have a great Fathers Day!!!!! :)
