Thanks - those are actually just the Kroger brand. We picked them up to try while back because they were cheap and different from the regular and they are really good so we stuck with them

Hey Sooner, did you let those hash browns that out before you oooked them on the flat top, or did you throw them on there straight out of the freezer?

Thanks, I had been looking at getting a 17 or 22 in Blackstone to take the to races with me. But the guy I go to the races with that lives in Grandview bought and gifted me a Pit Boss model. It is the signal burner one. Used it at Ft. Worth the first time in Oct. By the end of the weekend I had figured out the temps and how it likes to cook. I wish he had got the 2 burner one so I could cook and store food on it at different temps, but this one does what I need it to do. I just want to try some of those hash browns here at the house before I get to the track with it the next time. Been doing regular fried potato's all these years and want to get rid of the cutting and prep time they take.

Tater tots are also good on the griddle. Start them with no oil then Give a light coat later in the cook to brown them up. I actually might try the hash browns that way next time just to see how they come out

In addition to my 36” at the house I have the 22” tailgater. They will both crank out the food for sure

This Pit Boss model is 18.5 wide and 14.25 deep. Seems to be a pretty good little piece. Just wish i had 2 burners. But for a few times a year at the race track I think it is going to be fine. I am going to try them hash browns sooner than later.

That does seem like a good size for the RV. I agree on the two burner vs one but sounds like the price was right and it’ll just take a short time longer to warm up. Bet it cooks just fine though

I just got it seasoned today like yours is. I noticed yours was coal black. So I burnt plenty of oil into it today. And went and bought some hash brown patties to try before I oil it back up and store it. I got that Kroger brand like you said.

Looks good to go to me. I need to strip my big one down and re-season. Just got so much build up on it over a few years if use and I haven’t had a chance to do it

There’s a few different methods. I’ll probably use a wire brush on a drill.

Found this one here. Hopefully I shouldn't have to worry about this for awhile.
