Bo'fum ala Bacon Okra

Postby OldUsedParts » Tue Apr 06, 2021 3:07 pm

Guess I'd better give the blame, er uh Credit, to Boots and Sooner for the Plate today.
It was very very good, HOWEVER, if I do the bacon wrapped okra again, I will do it as a snack and not a side.
They pretty much dominated the plate today, even tho everything was very good, it would have been better without the bacon. YOU WON'T OFTEN HEAR ME SAY THAT :!:

It all looks good. I see where you’re coming from on the appetizer thing. Would make a good munchie for sure

Using up that Pulled Pork for a Sammich and decided to snack also on some Peanut Butter filled Pretzel Nuggets and some "OVEN COOKED" Okra. I WILL DO THE OKRA AGAIN - - - WOW

Googled a Recipe on Youtube and it's so simple it hurts.
Coat Okra with EVOO and season with preferred spices - - - SPG was mine and will stay that way.
Preheat Oven to 450 and bake Seasoned Okra on a Cookie Sheet for 15 minutes (I checked mine at 10 minutes, flipped them by rolling over and back in the Oven for the remaining 5 minutes.
NOTE: make sure the okra is not touching each other so they Roast evenly and completely.

I literally put about a dozen seeds in my flower bed one year. 10 germinated and produced. I did have a sprinkler system then so they were watered automatically every couple days. Moral of the story is, they are pretty easy to grow.
