Very Ugly Burgers - but Tasty

Postby OldUsedParts » Sun Apr 04, 2021 1:18 pm

Grilled some burgers with ABTs in them and also tried some "Sooner Inspired Grilled Okra" that came out awesome. If I get as much mileage out of these as I've gotten from the "Sooner Inspired Rippers" then I'm a lucky man fo sho. Picked these up a couple of weeks ago packaged in a clear plastic container. They mostly ran about 2 to 3 inches and I've been battering and frying them for my Sweetie. However, I noticed this morning that they were loosing their green color so I opted to try some Sooner Style. Taste wise, everything complimented each other and I'll do this again soon.

Do you brush yours with Olive Oil and Sprinkle with seasoning? I've only seen your Okra when they come off the pit and not before.

Toss them in olive oil and season. Then I hit with seasoning again when I pull them off

Ugly is the new beautiful.

Thinking about okra, you made me wonder about bacon wrapped grilled okra... hmmm

Jerk sounds good or even a Tabasco ranch mixture.

If you like spicy we buy Matouk’s and mix it with ranch but I warn you that stuff is SPICY

I voted yesterday to remove ugly from the description, but guess I didn't get it posted properly.
They look great to me!

But I am fascinated by the okra. Until this forum, I had never seen it fixed on the grill but you and Sooner
have me convinced I need to expand my horizons. :D

Thanks, Mam, I'm hooked on the Okra and as soon as the pressure washers get thru on my Deck, I'm gonna fix these. The bacon wrapped will be a first for me.
