Old Folks don't like Change !

Postby OldUsedParts » Mon Feb 01, 2021 3:29 pm

A couple of days ago I used some Espresso Rub on some Goulash and really liked it. Well today I grilled a very thick boneless Ribeye Steak and used Espresso again, however, even tho it was very very good, I must admit that I missed the Suckle Busters Campfire Steak Seasoning Rub and will probably stay with it on my Steaks. Now I am not forsaking the Espresso Rub, only on Steaks. I am also going "back" to those pricey center cut Beef Tenderloins also so please understand that I like the Espresso Rub a whole bunch, except when it's a steak and then Campfire Steak will be my choice.

Today was the normal Triple ""S"" - - STEAK, SPUD and SALAD  :chef:  :salut: :texas:

I was raised on the K.I.S.S. principle, especially when gigging nightly at those Honky Tonks. Too many times a friend of a friend always wants to come up and sit in with the Band. My late great friend once said to an up coming wannabee geetar picker after he had just finished over playing "Freebird" with us. As he walked off of the stage, Randy said "Since you played every lick you know on that one song we'll have to wait until you woodshed some more before calling you back up"
