Added a Blackstone griddle to the arsenal

Postby strength_and_pow » Fri Jan 01, 2021 3:09 pm

22” two burner. Was up in the air on sixes, 18” seemed like it would be adequate as I’m usually cooking for myself and maybe 1-2 others. 36” was way too big. What steered me to the 22” ultimately was the fact that it comes with connections for both the small cylinders and also the full size tanks giving a lot of flexibility. Got it assembled and seasoned last night so there was only one thing left to do, use it. Burgers it was. Fun toy, should see a decent bit of use for some quick cooks on nights I’m getting home late and lack motivation to light charcoal.

Is that the stand that folds up and you can put into a carry case?

Congratulations. Always wanted one but never got to the point of buying it.

There are some people here that seem to have good experience with Blackstone griddles

Did up some fried rice tonight that turned out really good. No pics as it was in the midst of a sushi rolling birthday party for a friend’s daughter. I am learning that “ lending a hand” and I just need help with a few things” translated from Womenspeak to English means I’m going to be working like a dog. But I did manage to drink some beer make the fried rice and roll a couple of sushi rolls. Image

Yessir. It’s not much different than rolling a fatty. The bamboo rolling mats cost about a buck, wrapping them in Saran Wrap makes cleaning simple. Actual sushi rice can be a bit hard to find, I never knew how many varieties of rice there are. A sushi dinner for two at a decent restaurant is easily $60, $100 if you add in some sashimi etc. At home, probably $20-30 and it’s fun.

Added a 36" myself. Gotta get it seasoned today for some hibachi style cooking tonight. :chef:
