Bangers & mash

Wife bought a new brand of bacon dogs a couple of days ago. The brand is Jacob's which is the high end brand from our largest grocery store chain. Usually very tasty products. These where not. They were too compact and had very little bacon taste so a little disappointing.

I grilled them on the gasser and finished off with a little SB honey bbq sauce, which has become my favorite.

Cooked some onions in a pan on the side burner. When cooking onions I always add a little butter, brown sugar and at the end I put a couple of teaspoons with balsamic vinegar. Tastes great.

The best thing today was that we got a taste of summer. 57f in the shadows and first day of barefoot grilling on the terrace.

The meal was ok but nothing more.

Bangers & mash is a British expression for dogs and mashed potatoes. It6a typical pub grub.
Don't you use this expression in the US?
