Greek evening

Postby daBertl » Sat Dec 14, 2019 5:01 pm

Today we met some friends at our home. Due to the low temperatures we decided to warm up our hearts with some mediterrenian food and drinks.
So I made a Gyros with the Roti of the Summit, a Tzatziki, a Djuvec Rice, some homemade Pitabread and a Sous Vide Oktopus, cooked 8 hours at 80 degrees Celsius.

They told me to stop my stupid dentistry and open a Restaurant. :dont:
But I think fun would stop, if I had to make it every day for people I don´t know. So I better go on with my clinic :santa: and cook for familiy and friends.

You should try Oktopus.
It is as well grilled as well cooked one of the most tasty dishes, if it is done right.
This means not cooked as a chewing gum or harder.

Thx for your comments. :salut:

A good friend once told me that when you turn something you love to do into something you have to do, you will then come to hate it.

Excellent food and great pictures! As for the octopus, it is fantastic! One of my favorites. You are correct about cooking it right; if it isn't, it's like trying to eat a boot. Lol! Sous vide is good.. Pressure cooker too.
