Happy Aloha Friday y'all,
Hope your week went well... this week I saw many posts on burgers so I may throw a few on the grill tomorrow pm. But with a "Local Boy Twist"... I'll flavor it with my teriyaki sauce, mixing it with the beef then making patties. Keeps it moist and you don't have to mess around with saucing it at the end plus it diminishes the possibily of "wearing" the sauce!
Tonight 2 grandaughters are sleeping over and we'll have fish since it is Lent. Sunday I plan to fire up my mini-smoker and do a pork butt....
Have a fantastic weekend and great Q'ing...

Nice beef ribs, was at the Alberson's this morning and saw the sign for $1.79/lb. Looked at a few packages and it was as if someone already gnawed the meat off. I don't think they would make decent stock!!!!!
malama pono a hui hou,
I went to King Soopers (Kroger), Safeway, Herb's Meats (butcher shop), Costco and found no joy. Kings had some in cryovac but they didn't look like they merited $3.99 a pound.
Ended up at sneaky Albertsons. Found one package at $0.99 pound that didn't like Honu's gnawed bones. It was hidden on the bottom and off to the side.... Obviously never frozen.... 5 or 6 (haven't opened it yet) 3-4 bone sectons. Not what I was looking for but for less than a buck a pound had to go for it.

Hi Deputy Dave,
I been batting double zero in locating meaty beef ribs. May have to talk to a butcher. I know that some markets carry ribs that are cut across the bone for Korean style bbq. If you look at CF's pic of the ribs the cut, 1/4" to 1/2" thick is made at right angles of the ribs. As in left to right ...
May have to special order. But I will keep looking
Have a great weekend with great Q'ing...

Looks like you started somethin', Chuck. And I must admit to a craving for some burger action, myself. Not happenin' this weekend, though.
Tonight was chicken wings for the crew. Tomorrow night is homemade pizzas at the outlaws. Sunday is dinner with my folks, menu unknown.
