Grilling in Scotland

Postby egghead » Mon May 13, 2019 7:12 am

My son attended an outing in Scotland over the weekend. Do you know why I would pass on the grillin’ At the event?

I think I’ll pass on anything coming off this grill

I'm with G'Rails, HOWEVER, the Catsup bottles sent cold chills upon first sight also. :whiteflag:

GRail nailed it. I can’t believe they are grilling on galvanized grating. I told my son and he replied “maybe that’s why I have a headache”.

EH, they "borrowed" that from the job site. That is galanized deck grating for a rig. They had the right idea, they just took the wrong metal from work. Because I can promise you, anyone with any sense doesn't go and buy galvanized metal to cook with.

Borrowed? I understand why you put it in quotes. :laughing7: I don’t think they are bringing it back.

I worked about 15 miles from there building offshore platforms in Ardersier. Great people and a great place to live. Unfortunately the North Sea market became the Dead Sea and the fabrication yard closed.

The guy in the green jacket in the first pic owns Darnaway Castle and is developing the area (near Inverness) with nice apartments and homes.

I too have spent time in and around Inverness, a beautiful part of the world. Have you been to Skye?

We were there from 82 to 87. Visited Isle of Skye once. Beautiful country.
