Best porch chops ever!!!!

Postby JustinCouch » Sat Apr 13, 2019 7:49 pm

The wife and I went to our local grocery to find tonight's supper. We found some thick cut pot chops at an incredibly reasonable price. I got one pack of center cut and one pack of loin cut. I have also been playing with my weber digital temp gauge. I am blown away at how juicy and flavorful the turned out. I rubbed two with Worcestershire sauce and the other two got a bath in wickers marinade. I let them soak for prob two or three hours. Seasoned with pink himalayn salt fresh ground black pepper and cavenders. I reverse seared them to an internal temp of 135 degrees and finished them off over direct heat. I used B&B lump and I had a little split of some cherry wood. Hands down these were the best chops I have ever cooked!!!

good job on the pork chops, so many people just cook pork to death, I suppose that comes from earlier times when we did not have such good methods of sterilization and refrigeration. I remember my grandmother used to just cook breakfast sausage until there was no juice left so we would wind up with a small dry hockey puck with some eggs well done of coarse, no runny yokes at her house. She taught me so much!!

sorry for the diversion, your pork chops looked like what I try to make when I get the chance
