Quick Trout Grill Tonight

Postby Smoking Piney » Wed Mar 20, 2019 6:11 pm

A quick midweek, 12 minute cook once I get the Egg where I need it at 400 degrees.

A handful of hickory chips in for smoke.

Yum! :D

Fresh caught?! They look good either way.. I went fishing once while I was in Colorado, pulled a brown trout from the river, it went IMMEDIATELY to the fire for cooking. About 12 minutes elapsed time from swimming in the river, to cooked on my plate. Can't.. Be.. Beat!!

They look great, for sure. Like they just came out the water! I'd want to take my fishing pole to the store and ask them if they'd put the fish on the hook for me so I could reel it in at least!

My Grandparents took me to Colorado and other scenic spots around the Rocky Mtns for several summers when I was young. My Grandfather taught me how to Trout fish and needless to say when we were housed at some Guest Ranch we ate a lot of trout. My Granny would fix them in butter in the skillet YUM YUM - - - - many mornings as we headed out the door to the Creeks and Rivers, I've seen her eating cold Rainbow, Brookies, Brown leftovers for breakfast. Love and Miss them every day :rose:

Outdoors is the only way for fish! Trout looks great.

Just once in my life, I had fish that we caught, and put in the pan with butter within fifteen minutes. It was amazing.

They look great. Fresh trout is fantastic. Grilled is excellent and you got a nice meal.

We often pan fry them and then let them simmer in sour cream for 15 minutes. Served with boiled potatoes and cucumber salad. Delicious.

In the summer I often take my fly rod and go fishing trout. Sometimes I bring my canoe and/or a tent for a weekend. Nothing better than that.
