Nice score and as everyone said, welcome, ur now an official " Stoner "
Cleaning it is actually a breeze. I've had mine a few years and the best way I've found was to keep it hot right after ur done using it and just squirt some warm water on it from a squirt bottle and then lightly run the metal spatula across it.
Everything will come right off with NO effort or scrubbing/scraping and it won't take your " seasoning " off as long as you don't go digging for gold with the spatula. Then I just wait a minute or two and spray it with some Whirl or as of late my bro gave me a huge tub of Lard.
As Sooner said, a quick steam right before using helps sanitize it again.
Ur hooked already to the B.S and you don't even know it yet
Rambo, you CAN'T go wrong with any of thier versions.

Re: Blackstone maiden voyage!
looks like your in for a lot of fun cooking....
OK ya'll can throw rocks at me... what about a grill brick for cleaning, when I used to cook in a restaurant (back before Al Gore invented the internet) we used them to clean the grill then a light coat of oil ? would that work on these? just curious

No rocks from me but with the BlackStones, the biggest and most important thing is to keep it " seasoned "spacetrucker wrote:looks like your in for a lot of fun cooking....

I'm guessing the bricks may take some of that away but I'm not sure.
Steam/water gets the surface clean without goudging the built up layer of the seasoning. The blacker the top the better.

Re: Blackstone maiden voyage!
I once saw somewhere that you can also clean it with a heavy salt? Haven’t tried, actually just remembered that. I actually clean mine like WV stated and like WV suggested when I got mine last year. My BS is as seasoned as a skillet right now

I can see where the steam would be better than grinding the surface clean with a grill brick, just thought I would ask though...

Re: Blackstone maiden voyage!
Between yard work sessions today, I've been seasoning the Blackstone. About to fire up some burgers in a few. I'd figured cleaning this would be very similar to the flattop at the restaurant. I was scouring it last night with a scotch brite. Lol!

Starting to get the color you want. That thing was made for smash burgers! My personal favorite is the Oklahoma Onion Burger!

Re: Blackstone maiden voyage!
Oohh yeeaahh!! Burgers going well. I'm impressed. This uses the small 1lb propane cylinder and it still has enough left for at least 1 more cook. I made the stirfry on the first night and 18 burgers tonight. Cleaned it up with some water, just as I would the restaurant version.. Looking good. I'm gonna love this thing!

Throw your burger buns on that flattop right after you take those patties off. Flip em over for a light toast while they soak up a little of that left over grease

This one is perfect size for 2 or 10. The price alone is what said "DO IT!!!", at 75 bucks..

If I'd have had some good brioche buns, you'd best believe they'd have been toasted on there. They just went on some regular sandwich bread. I call those my "Down Home" burger; reminiscent of back in the day. Regular bread, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle.
