Re: Sunday's Shrimp and Shutter Shuddering
Nice shrimp, OUP!
And congratulations on the new camera!
I took a look at the User's manual for it online and didn't see anything about adjusting the focus (which seems to be the major problem with those photos). If photos of far away objects (landscapes, etc), come out OK, I would suggest switching it to the Macro Lense setting (that side switch) for BBQ photos (if it doesn't force you to get too close). Otherwise, if the switch is in the Telephoto Lense position, try moving reasonably far away from the BBQ and then use the zoom-in function to fill the frame.
Good Luck!

Ok Emm, I couldn't find much either on adjustments. Do you see anything that says " Effects " or " Scene " ??
ALOT of point and shoot cameras have a ( food ) setting. Also, if for now keep it on Auto, or if you see something that says " anti shake " that will help focus as well.
I wish I could find more info because there is a chance that its not set from default to High Quality MP.....

OUP,
Figured your new camera out yet?
I have a new one, too.....and I'm working on getting it dialed in.

Nope, it's still taking blurry pics and I tried PBs and WVs suggestions but to no avail.

Re: Sunday's Shrimp and Shutter Shuddering
Sorry that you're still having problems with the new camera, OUP.
It's quite possible that the camera is defective (these days it's not uncommon to get a defective consumer product, since quality control is pretty poor).
