Quick Dinner Tonight

Postby GRailsback » Thu Jan 03, 2019 8:21 pm

Threw together a quick chop dinner tonight. And it was also my first run with the Hog waller Honey. Very nice, very nice indeed. In fact, I can't wait to do a couple of racks of ribs with it. My wife even liked it. Just a couple of chops, with some boxed potato's tonight. With some aged cheddar and a couple chunks of summer sausage, and my trusty Merle Haggard koozie, since it was still happy hour. The Mrs had brocoli with hers with the cheesy potato's on top.

Good job; those are soo difficult. Can dry them out if you leave them on 2 minutes too long

Rambo, next time I use that HWH, I will use a little heavier coating, especially when I do some ribs. But its a real nice flavor profile.

Myself, I have seen him several times. And they just came out with the lineup for the Rodeo here in Houston today. Looks like I will be going to see George again. We split season tickets with a friend of ours. We have 4 seats, we each take 10 shows. Thats plenty for me.

ST, I really like this HWH rub. Although, next time I will use more of it. I gave these chops just a light dusting. And I am really looking forward to doing some ribs with it. But I also like the Pecan rub as well on pork. And a big fan of hoochie mama on wings. 1836 and SPG on beef, but I also use a rub out of Dallas, Adkins Seasoning. They have a good all purpose BBQ rub, and mesquite fajita seasoning is very good from them as well.
