Wing Day at Piney's

Postby Smoking Piney » Sat Dec 29, 2018 4:50 pm

I vortex cooked 10 pound of wings - all the flats for my wife, plain jane with a bit of apple smoke.

It works out well...she likes the flats, I like the drumettes. I cooked mine with mesquite smoke and sauced with a 2 parts Q sauce / 1 part Baby Rays Buffalo sauce.

It was a nice afternoon spent in the smoke. :D

My favorite part of the chicken after the thigh. Those look fantastic!

Ten pounds of wings? How many rounds did you cook? And did you have to add more in between rounds?

3 rounds of cooking (about 30 minutes a piece), and I added more coals before the third round.
