ABTs in advance ?

Postby bondobill » Sat Apr 28, 2018 2:09 pm

Got a busy day tomorrow BBQing Salmon and frying taters amongst other things for my daughter and her hubbys birthday party.
Any problem with prepping ABTs and placing them in the fridge today to be grilled tomorrow. ?

I don’t forsee an issue. What is your method to reheat? Maybe you could slightly undercook them today?

Thanks sooner and Em :D
I'm following OkySBs recipe on the ABTs.
I got 8 really nice big Jalepanoes this morn early at my local grocer. Halfed them and put them back in the fridge in a zipper bag.
Cooked up the sausage, onions, peppers and garlic. mixed that with the cheese's and placed that bowl in the fridge.
All I got to do tomorrow is put it together along with the bacon and get it on the Weber.....I hope :dont:

I always do ABT's the night before ...especially when doing a large amount ....they are time consuming...I try to do as much prep that I can the day before...so I can sit back and relax while babysitting my cooker.....abts are something that can be done easily the night before.

Not BS, Wild Bill and it can be Googled:

Looks like you got a plan - - - I used to use Oak's Recipe but one day I got lazy and didn't want to brown the sausauge so I just used Cream Chez and Pepper Jelly and I've been hooked ever since - - - but knowing me, I may change back at any time. :dont: :salut:

I quess you can believe everything you read on the net. :laughing7:

Got a another guestion :?:
This patch of ABTs had no heat to them tho they where very good.
Last batch I did the exact same way and they had a good amount of heat. :dont:
What gives.... Only thing different was I used bigger Jalepanos on this last batch.
