Thanks again y’all. I’ve posted a little of this back story before but for those that missed it. Growing up in Tx (especially non Hill country Tx) I thought Johnsonville was a good bratwurst. My Mother in Law is from a small town in Iowa. When she goes home they trek over to Protivin Iowa to a place called Polashek’s Locker. They fill my freezer for me with brats and other sausages. Let just say I haven’t cooked a Johnsonville in at least 10 to 15 years.
