Burger graving

Postby bondobill » Mon Dec 11, 2017 2:43 pm

My wife's sister.....yea the one that hates red meat....... is here for a few day.
Her and my wife went shopping yesterday and they said they wouldn't be home for dinner. :D
A burger sounded good to me so I ran to town to grab a pack of ground burger. The grocers parking lot I usually shop at was extremely busy so I went to the other grocer we have in town.
Looking thru the ground burger display I found this

Mixed up the ground with SPG,A1 steak sauce and some chopped up sweet onions.
I prefer my burgers with out a bunch of extra fillers on top.

Dang, it was good burger. Glad I picked up 2 packs. 2 1/2 lbs total made up 5 burger patties. Got enough to get me thru the week whilst the girls be eating foofoo food.

That's a great looking burger for sure! I like that it's chophouse style burger meat too, cant say ive ever seen it readily available like that. Gotta get a good ratio of those 3 though. Brisket and chuck are going to be the flavor hitters and sirloin for texture.

I love 1000 island dressing......a lot. On a burger? Never ever thought of that. I will try this sometime. Looks great. Nice plate.

Thanks all for looking :D :D
Got to say that this was some of the best store bought ground burger I've ever had. It had just enough fat in it to keep the coals flaming in the Weber Kettle.

Em...Had no penners in the house, but next time...... :rose:

Yeah Russ....1000 Island rocks on burgers

Looks wayyyyy to good for me to not try this ! I've NEVER tried 1000 island on a burger before, but my next burger gets blasted with it. Thanks for posting Bill and for the recommendation. Can't wait :):)

Leave a nice medium rare bacon cheeseburger and a cold brew for the jolly big man. He’s gotta get tired of milk and cookies.
