First time smoking a brisket

Finally got the courage to do a brisket on my old smokey. Been up since 4 preping and getting the fire going. Threw the brisket on at 05:15 CST. Old smokey has been holding temp between 250 & 300 for that last 3 hours. Using oak chunks for smokeyness flavor. I'll do my best to keep y'all updated. ImageImageImageImageImage

:o that's why I got up so early. Heard the stall is the worst. I'll check the temp around the 6 hour mark.

The smoke and juciness was there. Need to tinker on my rub a bit more. But over all I liked it and the family lived it.

I couldn't be happier with the bark. Pulled some great burnt ends.
