"blustery" but BARK'N BCC

Postby OldUsedParts » Wed Feb 15, 2017 1:26 pm

Even tho it was 47 F when I fired up the ECB, I had to cook the Chicken that I had defrosted. I did two things differently and liked both. I made an injection using butter, Garlic Powder and Suckle Busters Hootchie Mama and I also chunked some Mesquite chips on the Kingsford Charcoal about half way thru the cook. WOW, the bark was the best I've ever come up with on a BBC and I'm pretty sure it was the wood chips that did it.

Altho, I am throughly pleased, the NW winds and temp caused me to have to finish it in the oven for the last 30 minutes. Guess you might say I "chickened out" :laughing7: :D

Though, for my generation, that thread title could have gone a whole 'nother way.
