How often do you grill or smoke?

Postby OSD » Wed May 30, 2007 12:22 pm

Myself living in Florida, I'm lucky as far as the weather goes and can grill or smoke all year long. :D We use the grills more than we use the stove most of the time. :D We really like the flavor grilling or smoking gives the food. :D :D

I probably average 3-4 times a week grilling thru out the year.

3-4 times a month with the smoker.

I fire up Einstein or Roma a couple times a week. Since it's only me and Mrs, always end up with 2 to 3 days grub.

we grill at least 4-5 times a week. That is on a small pit or a gas grill. My girl friend is the one that wanted the gas grill since it is easier for her to use. Now that I have a REAL smoker I am sure that will only be added to.
I have to say I have only been on this site for two days now, I am addicted !!!!!!!!!!!!1

If it's meat with some fat on it.... It goes on the grill.
I've been getting into an Asian kick recently, and like to cook up some of that since I finally got all the base ingredients.....But who likes Asian every night?

Burgers, chick thighs/wings, ribs, tuna steaks, sausage/brats, ..... I voted for 3-4 a week on average.

Mmmmm Good times..... Goooooooood times.
Regards,
Scotty

I'm grillin or smokin at least 3 times a week. I do steaks, brisket, butts, fish (grilled and smoked), chicken, turkey, quail, ribs, pork loin, prime rib, fajitas, corn, potatoes, mushrooms (not magic), lamb, dogs (not the four legged variety), brats, and burgers. Obviously not all at the same time... but that would be cool. Now, with my relatively new (almost 3 months) ceramic Gill Dome, it's only a matter of time before I'm doing pizza and bread as well. :dgrin:

I don't do it near like I want to, but there's a whole lot of factors to blame. Frequently, because of my work, I have trouble preplanning meals or physically cook 'cause I'm too exhausted mentally or physically to do it. And more than once I've had meat marinate too long in the fridge (and even spoil, a few times) 'cause problems with work kept me from cooking.

I usually grill 2 times during the week and fire up the smoker on the weekend so usually at least 3 times a week.

My outdoor cooking really picks up during the summer months to keep the temp in the house down as well.

This is a big plus for me, too. When the temps hit 100*, every little bit helps.

No joke! Even with all the rain and hail, I've been enjoying this Spring. The temps are still comfortable enough to sit outside and not be miserable, and the AC bill isn't bloody outrageous.
