James,
check out the sausagemaker.com. I picked up a stuffer from them and some other sausage making goodies. Make sure you sign up for their catalog, it's got some good stuff in there to check out

I can't stand the Sausage Maker and refuse to buy anything from them. They are scam artists and it all tied in with Rytek's Book. He lists a bunch of exotic ingredients of which many are uneeded or which can be readily subbed out for stuff available in any grocery store. Let us start with some stuff they peddle called Fermentto. It aint nothing but powdered buttermilk which you can buy all day long at Kroger for a fraction of the cost they charge. Corn syrup solids is another prime example. If corn syrup solids is good the wet stuff called Karo is just as good. In fact a little Steen's Cane syrup works exceptionally well if you want to sweeten it up a bit. Morton's Tender Quick can sub for either Prauge 1 or Prauge 2..insta cure..modern cure etc. I could go on indefinitely. They are thieves and scoundrels. Just my .02 of course. Dont even get started on their overpriced grinders and stuffers. Northern Tools will kick their butts any old old day on hard goods. They aint gonna get a nickle from me.

I agree with you BW on Sausage Makers, they are really self serving. Corn syrup solids is dextrose yep they change things to make you think that you have to buy their overpriced products. They have good products just high and try to make you think they are proprietary. The book and video is good information as long as one understands the ingredients and tools are available elsewhere at reasonable prices. Here are some links.

Well dang Papa your astuteness never ceases to amaze me. Native Texan is all I can figger:) We was making sausage back when Rytek was still squirting mustard in his Polish Pampers huh?
