Postby Hj » Thu Jul 15, 2010 5:52 am

1 lb. Kielbasa (Polish sausage cut diagonal pieces
1 onion large cut half circles
2-4 garlic cloves minced
x-virgin olive oil ñ butter

1/2 lb. medium width egg noodles (homemade or bought
1 can cream of mushroom soup (+ 1 can water
1 can (#2 size) sauerkraut rinsed ñ drained well
1 c. bread crumbs

Pan fry cut Kielbasa with onions ñ garlic in oil ñ butter about 20 minutes (DO NOT BURN -stir.
Cook noodles according to directions on package. Drain.
Heat mushroom soup with water or heavy cream to dilute well.
Mix noodles sauerkraut ñ soup. Place half mixture into 3 qt. casserole. Add 1/2 of Kielbasa pieces- add remaining half of mixture ñ remaining Kielbasa.
Sprinkle bread crumbs over the top. Dot with butter. Bake 350 ° F. 45 minutes.

Note~ sometimes I use chicken broth in place of water or cream n add some pearl barley to really give this a great taste n I use Accent -salt n pepper also..

This is really good with pork roast n all other ingredients over mashed potatoes. Using either a pork roast or country style pork ribs than will have to bake longer till fork tender adding more water-chicken broth or cream.. Enjoy
A mistake is sometimes a great creation
