BBQ Name Question
I've got a question for yall. As you can tell from my signature below, I am currently using the name Big Mike's BBQ. However, there is a guy in Denver who has trademarked a name that is similar enough to where if I start selling my sauce, I might get nailed with TM infringement. So, we discussed this in the chat Monday and I am thinking of using the following name. I would like your opinions please.
Big Mike's Bama Que
My sauce would then be: Big Mike's Bama Que Sauce
My rub would then be : Big Mike's Bama Que Rub
Big Mike's Bama Que
My sauce would then be: Big Mike's Bama Que Sauce
My rub would then be : Big Mike's Bama Que Rub

Is he in Denver Proper? If so, those guys have a hard reading much less sueing JUST KIDDING!
I like the name. Don't know much about trademark law, but I know a few lawyers that do if you want to pursue.
New name sounds good to me. Maybe we need a focus group.....wait that's Boulder Speak

Now I think Bama makes jelly. If you from Ohiya why you want to interject Bama into the process? Enquiring minds need to know this kinda stuff. If you really want folks to buy the stuff you need to interject the term Texas into the equation. Everybody know if it say Texas it most likely be fitting. Thats how Texas Pete hotsauce got invented when some yankee from Ohiya got a brain storm on how to make money. It tastes turrible but you dont know it till you buy some. Just trying to cover all the bases here.
