After seeing several smoked birds, I finally decided to do one Sunday. Nothing special - seasoned butter under skin, and special rub on skin. Smoked at 250 for about 3.5 hours. Turned out good. Even my wife, who doesn't normally like turkey, ate her fair share.

Did you set some spots of marinate into the meat before smoking ? Some folks do suggest this, refer danger of dry out of the meat...

Good looking bird! Now I'll have to find me a turkey. I usually only do 'em around the holidays, but I want to do one now!
