Moink balls - first time

Postby Norway Joe » Sat Dec 12, 2020 1:49 pm

Never made moink balls before but wanted to do it for long time. Finally got the time today.

They came out really great. Whole family enjoyed them. Best feeling is when the boys munch them down. That's my success criteria.

Made the Italian meat balls like this:
Mixed beef and pork. 4 parts beef 2 parts pork.

Chopped some bread and mixed with a shredded onion. Let it soak for a while before adding to the meat. Added an egg, some parmesan cheese, Chopped parsley, a couple of garlic cloves and S & P.

Rubbed with SB Pecan and glazed with the SB Chipotle.

Smoked on the Weber Smokefire which still runs rock steady in the cold weather and now after removing all the snow. ImageImageImageImageImageImage

Picture perfect. I’d give myself a belly ache on those - it’d be worth it!

Same here - - - I finally managed to try Burnt Ends this year but it took a Throw Down to motivate me. However, those pics have got the motivation "Movin" so t'won't be long now. Looks great Joe

Thanks for the nice comments.

As mentioned this was a first for me but absolutely not the last.

Next time I will make maybe a marinara sauce for dipping.
