Smoked Round Roast

Postby Smoking Piney » Fri Nov 06, 2020 4:07 pm

It's been a while since I've had the chance to get the smoker going. It was a gift of a day here in NJ with 74 degrees.......great day to smoke.

Beef roast rubbed with SB 1836

Done at 130 IT. I'm going to put this in the fridge tonight and slice it tomorrow for beef and gravy on club rolls:

Great day to be in the smoke! :D

I was in a bit a hurry today so I didn't look at it as well as I should have  , but I saw whole eye of rounds at Kroger today! About 18" long!! Looked very similar to a pork loin in shape and size. I was in the market for pork ribs today but next time I can I'll examine the eye's closer. Just a FYI for the rest of ya. Maybe one of you can get there before I do.

Thanks, folks!

I sliced half of the roast today. It came out perfect. My wife is making gravy for this tonight.

Going to be a good meal. :D
