Ribs - Fonzie stole the Hickory!

Postby Joernolav » Sun Nov 03, 2019 9:13 am

Just fired up a chimney and getting ready to smoke a couple of ribs for dinner.

Not easy when Fonzie stole the Hickory and won't let it go.

Planning on ribs and twice baked potatoes.
Rubbed the ribs with SB Hogwaller honey and Texas pecan.

More pictures later.ImageImageImage

LOL - Fonzie is having fun. Good looking ribs.

Funny story. Yesterday I went to buy some firewood at a local supplier. I was in their tent paying the lady and felt something go thunk on my boot. They had a cute little dog and he dropped a piece of bark on me. So I tossed and then we were playing fetch. Apparently that’s what he does all day is play fetch with the customer. Good gig if you can get it

That's funny. I guess the dog is happy everytime he sees a customer. Fonzie loves to steal things and then run around the dinner table, playing catch me.

As long as it's not the ribs. Fonzie is a hoot.

I can tell you that if I didn't watch he would grab the ribs instantly.

Fonzie is not a well trained dog. When was 5 months old he got a very rare disease called Hypertrophic Osteodystrophy. Many dogs with this disease dies and we didn't know if he would survive. The good thing is the disease ends around the age of 12 months, usually without lasting injuries. Obviously Fonzie survived but he lost the best time to train a dog. We had to carry him up and down stairs and only let him our in the garden on a leash for 6 months.

He is now 10 and a half year and has been the best dog ever. I happily endure all the funny stuff he comes up with.

That’s probably why he still wants to be a puppy, he missed a good chunk of his puppy time. They typically grab stuff when they want attention. There’s nothing in the world that beats having a great dog, humans are humans with all the related issues, but the dog is always your friend.
BE WELL, BUT NOT DONE

Bobby: "No."
Hank: "Well, there's really no wrong way to do it."

Yes. He often grabs things for attention and a wish to play. But being a retriever he tends to carry stuff all the time. Having a dog gives you a lot.

Despite the hiccups at the start it ended well.

Ribs came out great. Twice baked potatoes are never wrong. Besides the mozzarella sticks i also found som cheddar filled jalapenos that I threw in the the oven.

Tasted great on a cold Sunday evening.

Time for a couple of episodes of Lucifer on the TV.ImageImageImageImage
