Which country produces the best meat in the world? Why?

I wanted to have some feedback on which country produces the best meat in the world. And what are your favorite CUTS?

Would have to say Japan and Kobe beef. Cut doesn't really matter at that point.

Most of the people in this country only experience meat from this country. After having said that, I ate meat all over the world. Argentina has good beef. Kiwis, Aussies and Europe have nice Lamb. But I am not sure that anyone compares to the overall quality top to bottom that this country produces.

At least I know one thing. Here in Norway we do not have the best beef. Our cattle is raised for the milk, beef is second. In the last few years some farmers have started to raise limousine and Hereford which are great.

However our lamb is world class. They are going freely all over the mountains and forests. Depending of where they have been raised the meat gets a slightly different taste due to the variation of the grass and herbs they are eating.

Here in nz our stock are mainly paddock fed and not much grain that I know of. Our lamb is the best I've tried except the lamb I had 20 years ago in Wales. This was lamb raised on salt marshes so the meat was soooo tender and full of flavour. Our nz lamb was also in the butchery at harrods. I havnt tried Scandinavian lamb yet though.our beef being grass fed is up there with states beef?? I've tried steaks in Hawaii and I liked it but pretty much on a par with ours. My wife's and my fave is a big fat juicy aged t bone. S and p then cooked med for wife and me blue. Served with garlic sauce.

The best country for beef is The Republic of Texas. Corn fed!

I would think every country has one or two meat products that shine for them. It would be a heck of an adventure traveling the world trying different cuts from countries. Then add into the equation the cook and how it is prepared.
