My new toy.

Postby JustinCouch » Mon Apr 08, 2019 7:58 pm

So I have been bite by the sous vide bug. A friend of mine gave me one of his circulatory to try. I just got it today and it's pretty neat. I can't wait to try it on a tougher cut of meat like beef shoulder roast or bottom sirloin.

I went and got a fresh picanhia today. I will be doing two steaks out of it. I will grill the rest as I normally do so I can do a taste and texture comparison. I will make sure I post the whole thing.

Just put the meat in the hot tub so to speak!!! I cut the picanha into 5 steaks. I took the toughest steak and one of the more tender steaks to try sous vide. The rest will be grilled as usual. As soon as I have more pics I will post them.

Well here are the results..... The sous vide steaks deff had a more tender texture. Very flavorful. The grilled steaks had more of a grilled taste of course. I can't wait to do more sous vide!!!. On the plated picture the grilled steak was on the right and sous vide on the left. If anyone has any questions please ask away!!!
