SPG RIBS - so easy

Postby egghead » Fri Feb 22, 2019 7:00 am

Helping get my son and DIL’s house In Fulshear, TX ready to put on the market. Nice thing about ribs is you can set it and forget em on the BGE.

Sucklebusters SPG rub with cherry smoke - no bbq sauce needed. 240 dome in the “no wrap zone”, until they passed the bend test. Done in just under 6 hours.

Finished with a little butter and brown sugar - oops, I guess that’s a sauce

I've always called those "Dry Ribs" but it's easy to see that there is nothing Dry about those Beauties. :salut:  :chef:
Maybe I should change that to "Sauceless Ribs" :dont:

Huge fan of SPG on ribs.... especially on the membrane side (that I leave in place). It seems to render (no pun intended) the membrane virtually undetectable. Still, I like a little sweet rub on the top side but yes, nekid and no sauce for about 4 hours is working well for me.

Looks great EH.... :thap:
