Oklahoma joe bronco
Have Yall seen this beauty???? I saw it a month or so ago on Facebook but couldn't find any info on it. I saw it again today and went to the OKJ website. Its awesome. I like the design way better than barrel house. I know it might not be as good as some ugly drums out there but I think its the bees knees.

I’ve seen it online only so I am no expert but if you are going that route I’d suggest you take a look at The Pit Barrel Cooker.

I’ve never seen it and I thought I put a lot of research into the drum style smokers.

Couldn’t sleep this morning and watched a couple of YouTube videos on it. Not much out there but it does look pretty well built. Would love to find a side by side if of the OKJ and the PBC for comparison

I dont know if you compete or not, but a double barrel side by side would be all the rage... at least I would think

My friend that bought 1 is hanging some ribs in it today. I can't wait to see it in action.

Is there anybody outside who could bring this beauty to me?

Re: Oklahoma joe bronco
It runs 300 bucks. From what I understand. Charbroil sent them 9ut to vendors and they were supposed to wait till spring before the put them out for display and sale. He hung 2 racks of ribs and a small brisket in it. It comes with 9 hanger. From what I saw today, if you spaced the racks out just right you can get 9 racks of ribs is it.

I still want the Bandera. I've seen only 1 locally and never saw it again.

Re: Oklahoma joe bronco
I am a new member, just registered, who came here to find out more about the Oklahoma Joe Bronco drum smoker. I purchased one of these smokers a few days ago after much searching for a good quality, easy to use (and nice looking) unit that was versatile enough to do more than just smoke meat on shelves. This particular smoker/bbq/grill fit that bill nicely. So far, I have only just seasoned it by following Okie Joe's instructions, and played around with temperature control via the intake & out take draft tubes. I have bout 8 hours of playtime on this, so far.
The 3 things I can say definitively about this unit at this point is: A) the quality is there, in spades. These units weigh in at somewhere around 150 lbs assemble. This is because they are built with heavy gage steel, not thin gage or aluminum. B) Its simplicity of function and design is a thing of beauty to me. Sometimes, the more complex the design, the more confusing to operate and to duplicate results with. The convertibility from smoking to bbq-ing to grilling is genius. And C) the price for this unit - given the quality & function - is very, very good. I have friends who have spent hundreds more for their various smokers who are amazed at what $300 can purchase. American made. Built to last - at least as far as I can determine. Now: time to smoke. bbq and grill some meat for the real test of this beauty.

Yep, and I just posted - if the moderators approve. It's a beauty all right.
